butter
Butter is nature's margarine. It is always going to taste nicer and, whilst it has more saturated fat than some spreads, you can compensate by eating less. Buy salted butter. You can leave it out of the fridge, covered up, in weather that isn't too hot, and that makes it much easier to spread. If you're into baking cakes and biscuits, the flavour of butter is way better.
